Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Class 1–9 trucks, trailers, and Class IV & V forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel and emission systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air conditioning.
- Complete preventive maintenance, including oil changes, greasing, and thorough inspections.
- Perform 90-day BIT inspections on trucks and trailers and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Complete repairs to OEM specifications and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following company safety procedures.
- Attend paid training and development as required.
Requirements
- Required:

- Proven experience as a fleet mechanic or heavy diesel mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills with diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and both minor and major repairs.
- Experience using industry diagnostic tools and software.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Good computer skills with effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to deliver reliable, high-quality work under pressure.
- Must have own tools and be willing to attend training.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug test.

Shifts
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

- Overtime available and paid in accordance with California hourly overtime laws
Compensation
- $30.00 – $40.00/hour starting pay, based on previous experience
