Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on Class 1–9 trucks, trailers, and Class IV & V forklifts.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel and emission systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air conditioning.
• Complete preventive maintenance, including oil changes, greasing, and thorough inspections.
• Perform 90-day BIT inspections on trucks and trailers and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repairs to OEM specifications and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following company safety procedures.
• Attend paid training and development as required.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Proven experience as a fleet mechanic or heavy diesel mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills with diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and both minor and major repairs.
  • Experience using industry diagnostic tools and software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Good computer skills with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deliver reliable, high-quality work under pressure.
  • Must have own tools and be willing to attend training.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug test.
