Job Description
Actively looking to fill 2 positions as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic in Orlando, FL. This shop-based role is in a newly built facility with a modern, egalitarian work environment. The position involves work on a fleet of refuse trucks with Mack chassis and MP7 engines, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a team-oriented setting that values technician expertise and safety.
Requirements
Must-haves:
5+ years experience in heavy diesel mechanics
Experience with refuse truck equipment and/or Mack chassis
Proficiency in driveline, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance
Ability to perform diagnostics and valve adjustments
Valid driver's license
CDL license or willingness to obtain within a short timeframe (training provided)
Own tools (up to 3/4 inch drive, 1.5 inch wrenches)
Fluent in English
Meet employer checks

Experience with Allison transmissions
Diagnostic software experience
A-level technician certification or equivalent experience
Compensation & Benefits
Wage Range: A-level technicians: $45$50/hour; B-level technicians: $38$43/hour + OT (expected salary range - $104,000.00 - $140,000.00/year)
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
PTO: 15 working days per year from day one (increases to 20 after 5 years)
Sick Leave: 6 days per year

Hours
Schedule: MondayFriday, 1:00 PM9:30 PM
Overtime: Average 45 hours per week; target 4045 hours
On-Call: Rotating weekend coverage (approximately 3 mechanics, every 2 weeks)
Work Environment: Shop-based (5 bays with lifts); minimal fieldwork
Shift Flexibility: Minimal; 1:00 PM start time is optimal due to fleet operations
