We are urgently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to Join an elite team in Watertown, NY. Technicians will be responsible for the safety and optimal performance of an extensive fleet of heavy duty vehicles including coaches/buses. If you’re a passionate mechanic with a knack for diesel engines, we want you on board!

YOUR MISSION:
Enhance the efficiency and longevity of the bus fleet through specialized repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, consulting with team members to determine the best repair approach
• Efficiently dismantle units such as transmissions or differentials, leveraging advanced tools and equipment
• Analyze parts for wear using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges
• Skillfully repair or replace essential parts with a keen focus on detail and accuracy
• Oversee the replacement of generators/alternators, starters, pumps, and other integral components
• Expertly adjust brakes, align front ends, and maintain shock absorbers
• Ensure optimal lighting by replacing and adjusting lights, headlights, and other related components
• Install, test, and repair accessories including radios, mirrors, heaters, and windshield wipers
• Regularly replace routine maintenance items such as filters, belts, bulbs, and more
• Specialize in the inspection, testing, repair, and recharge of bus air conditioning and heating systems

COMPENSATION:

• $28.00 - $38.00/hour, depending on previous experience

SHIFT:

Monday to Thursday, (4 x 10 hour shift schedule)

• 3 day weekend and Flexible start times between 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM
