Job Description
We are actively searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a well-established and reputable operation in Brandon, Manitoba. The ideal candidate will take ownership of fleet reliability and play a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime during peak seasonal operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical diagnostics.

Maintain and repair diesel and gas engines, drive systems, braking systems, steering, and boom components.

Conduct operational testing and post-repair inspections to ensure safe and reliable performance.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and seasonal fleet preparation.

Troubleshoot CAN-bus systems, sensors, safety systems, and control modules.

Support fleet uptime by identifying recurring mechanical issues and recommending corrective solutions.

Maintain detailed service documentation and communicate repair status to management.

Collaborate with operations staff to ensure equipment availability during high-demand harvest periods.
Qualifications:
-
6+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience

High advanced diagnostic skills in hydraulics and electrical systems

Experience working in agricultural, construction, or heavy fleet environments.

Ability to work in a team environment and manage fleet priorities effectively.

Must have references as well as pass criminal background check, drug screening, have a valid driver’s license and adequate collection of tools.
Compensation & Benefits:

$50.00 – $75.00 per hour, based on experience and expertise.
