A well-established operation in Elburn, Illinois is looking to add an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to their team. This role will focus on maintaining and repairing a fleet of specialized heavy equipment used in demanding applications, requiring strong diagnostic ability and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy drilling equipment as well as hydraulic, electric and diesel powered machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and general repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Utilize schematics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform equipment testing and inspections to verify safe and proper operation.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics is required.
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on complex equipment.
• Experience working in a rental, construction, or specialized equipment environment is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and manage repair priorities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must have own tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $36.00 – $43.00 per hour, based on experience.

• $1,500 annual tool allowance.

Shift & Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (8-hour shifts)
• Start time between 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM
• Overtime available
