Job Description

A well-established, and reputable employer is currently seeking Heavy Equipment Mechanics for a mix of shop and field service roles near Richmond, VA!



Mechanics will perform maintenance and repairs to heavy yellow iron construction, earth moving equipment, and cranes in a well-established shop, or out of a company provided service truck!

There will be out of state travel required occasionally. All travel expenses, hotel stay (if required), and per diems are provided by the company!

Mechanics with experience servicing electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine components of heavy equipment from manufacturers including CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Terex, Grove, Liebherr, and other related brands will be given preference!

Job Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of complex heavy equipment repair experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment including backhoes, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, cranes, and other specialty equipment.
• Experience utilizing laptop computers, diagnostic scan tools, gauges, and other related instruments to properly diagnose equipment.
• Must be proficient with hydraulic and electrical component/system maintenance and repair.
• Must be proficient in maintaining and repairing diesel engines.
• Must possess a valid driver license, and an insurable record (CDL preferred, not required).
• Any OEM or ASE Certifications are seen as an asset, however are not required.

Compensation:

• Up to 35.00/hour to start. Starting wage is dependent upon previous industry experience, training, and certifications.

Shifts:

• Day Shifts from 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday).
• All Mechanic must be willing to work a rotational on-call schedule - paid at time and a half rates!
• OT available after 40 hours!
