Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A well-established and reputable employer is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join their Unionized service team on Staten Island, NY.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and after-treatment systems.
• Completing accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working on heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Experience working on Trucks is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with electrical systems, emissions/after-treatment systems, and engine diagnostic software (e.g., CAT, Cummins, Volvo, Komatsu).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering quality work.
• A valid driver's license is required (Class A license preferred).
• Must possess a personal set of tools.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time.

Compensation:

• Starting at $32.00 per hour and up, depending on experience, training, and certifications.
• Additional premiums available, including toll and fuel allowances.
