Job Description

A reputable and family run company is urgently looking for Diesel Mechanics to join their skilled team in Farmingdale, NY.  

As a Heavy Duty Technician, your primary responsibilities will be to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, determine root cause of failure and report findings.  Types of equipment include Industrial Equipment, Refuse Equipment, Street Sweepers, Vacuum Equipment, Snow Maintenance Equipment, etc.

 
Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 2 years truck mechanic repair experience in inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, air systems, etc.
• Strong hydraulic and diagnostic skills required
• Previous experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
• Able to read schematics
• Valid driver’s license 
• Own tools

Compensation:

• $30.00 - $48.00/hour to start, depending on experience

Shifts:

• Day Shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
• OT available and offered based on operational needs.

Successful Heavy Equipment Technicians must be able to pass a background and MVR check prior to employment.
