Job Description

A reputable and well-established company near Burlington, ON, is immediately hiring a versatile and experienced Mechanic who is interested in working with a landscaping outfit.  This full-time, day-shift position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing skids steers, excavators, dump trucks and heavy-duty pick-up trucks, and small-engine construction equipment.

Requirements:

• Recent experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment, Dump trucks, and Heavy Duty Pick-ups
• 310T or 310S License (preferred but not required) 
• Experience with CAT or John Deere equipment is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and own set of tools

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy construction equipment and trucks
• Perform all maintenance and repairs - including engine work. Follow a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time
• Operate and maintain machinery/equipment such as hand/power tools, welding/cutting equipment, air tools, forklifts, hoists, excavators, and more
• Manage inventory – order, track, and organize spare parts and tools

Compensation:

• $40.00 - $45.00/hour to start (based on experience, certification, and training)
