A well-established equipment and ready-mix operation in Sitka, AK is seeking a skilled, hands-on professional to join their team. This is a unique hybrid role ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday — combining mechanical repairs, equipment hauling, and customer interaction.

This position plays a key role in keeping daily operations running efficiently and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to go.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, service, and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and rental machinery
• Equipment Transportation: Operate a lowboy trailer to deliver and retrieve heavy equipment throughout the Sitka area
• Rental Counter Support: Assist customers with rentals, recommend appropriate equipment, and manage rental agreements
• Fleet Readiness: Ensure all equipment — from small tools to large machinery — is serviced and rental-ready
• Safety Compliance: Follow company safety standards in the shop and on job sites

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Technician
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record (required)
• Ability to work independently and transition between mechanical and customer-facing responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment systems
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Sitka, AK
