Job Description

We are immediately seeking a skilled and driven Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman for a well-established operation in Wantagh, NY to lead a team of Heavy Equipment mechanics to maintain and repair their fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Heavy Equipment Mechanics using your hands-on mechanical background, helping develop skills, confidence, and long-term career growth
• Create a positive, high-performing shop culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and delivering an exceptional fleet management process
• Provide technical leadership on complex repairs, supporting technicians and stepping in when needed to keep work moving efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years repair experience in the Heavy Equipment Industry.
• 3+ years of previous maintenance management experience within the Heavy Equipment industry.
• Strong leadership Skills.
• Strong technical skills with the proven ability to provide technical support to technicians.
• Strong computer, hydraulics, and diagnostic skills.
• Must have own tools and a Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Compensation:

• $100K - $115K, depending on previous experience.
• Annual Bonuses.
• Comprehensive Benefit Package + PTO 

Shifts:

• Day Shift, Monday – Friday.
• Additional hours during busy season, based on operational needs.
