Job Description: Heavy Equipment Technician – Calgary, Alberta

Position Overview:
A long standing company located in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician with at least 5 years of experience to join its team. This position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software and other tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Familiar with Diesel Engines
• Mentor and support junior mechanics as needed.
• Maintain accurate records using computer systems.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman-level mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Previous Excavator, Loader, Truck experience is a strong asset.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and basic office tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Must have own tools and a valid drivers license.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Wage range: $40-$50/hour, dependent on experience.
• Overtime pay after 44 hours per week.
• Benefits package
