Job Description

A reputable and well-established employer is urgently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for Field Service or Shop in Santa Maria, CA.

The ideal Heavy Equipment Technician will have at least 4+ years of previous technical repair experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, AND 2+ years of experience on CAT Equipment, and be well-versed with advanced electrical and hydraulic diagnostics!

Responsibilities:

• Repair, overhaul, or modify vehicles and equipment that are complex and involve complicated and varied systems
• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment of various types
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner
• Willing and able to work in remote locations, work alone and in inclement weather
• Oversee & manage PM's on equipment as needed on a scheduled basis..
• Communicate timeframes, expectations, and issues to Maintenance Supervisor and the leadership team.

Compensation:

• $45 - $55/hr Starting salary is based upon previous experience, certifications, and training.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:30PM, Monday - Friday. (Flexibility with scheduling) 
• OT Available
