An established municipal fleet operation in North York, ON, is hiring a Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic to keep fleet trucks and equipment running strong year-round. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy off-road equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and after-treatment systems using OEM diagnostic software.
• Conduct chassis, suspension, and brake system repairs.
• Replace major components and ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
• Support seasonal fleet readiness for snow and winter operations.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • 4+ years of experience servicing diesel trucks and/or heavy equipment.
  • Skilled in chassis, suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for fault troubleshooting.

• Preferred:

  • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician or 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification.
