Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
• Conduct component inspections and address identified mechanical or electronic issues.
• Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and resolve failures.
• Complete preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, brake work, and tire repairs.
• Replace defective parts and follow repair procedures as instructed.
• Document repairs, parts used, and labor time in the shop management system.
• Interact with drivers and customers to determine vehicle concerns and ensure repairs meet expectations.
• Follow all DOT, MOT, and company safety compliance standards.
• Perform additional support duties as required, including facility upkeep and shop operations.

Requirements:

• Required:

  • 2+ years of combined classroom training and work experience in diesel or heavy-duty vehicle repair.
  • Must own basic hand tools.
  • Experience with gas or diesel engine repair, including brakes, tires, and preventive maintenance.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical, drug test, background check, road test, and MVR history (including drug/alcohol verification from prior employers over 3 years).
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.

• Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL Class A.
  • Technical or vocational certification in diesel mechanics.
