Job Description

A well-established and reputable employer is looking to hire experienced Journeyperson Truck Mechanics to join their service team is West Edmonton, AB. 

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brakes, air systems, and diesel engine repairs/overhauls on heavy trucks and trailers. Mechanics will be expected to complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation, and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean, safe work area. 

Requirements:

• Valid Red Seal or Provincial Truck & Transport License.
• 2+ years of experience working on Commercial Trucks and diesel engines.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.
• Understanding of electrical systems and emissions/after treatment systems, engine diagnostic software (Detroit, Cummins, Volvo).
• Must enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in your work 
• A valid driver's license is required (Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset)
• Must possess own set of tools 
• Active CVIP License preferred

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, Wednesday to Saturday 6:00am - 4:00pm (flexibility exists)

Compensation:

• $45.00 - $50.00/hour, based on previous experience/training/certifications.
