Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on instruction using provided curriculum and assessments in diesel and heavy-duty systems.
- Evaluate student performance, maintain accurate records, and provide feedback to support progress.
- Foster a professional learning environment focused on safety, respect, and industry-readiness.
- Promote employability by teaching good work habits, professionalism, and job-seeking skills.
- Maintain clean, well-equipped labs and ensure responsible use of tools and materials.
- Support student success through advising, goal setting, and collaboration with Student Services.
- Develop and maintain industry partnerships and coordinate with advisory committees.
- Assist in curriculum development with instructional designers and respond to industry feedback.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Manage program budgets and maintain instructional equipment and supplies.
- May arrange and supervise off-site work-based learning opportunities for students.
Qualifications:

Required:
- 4+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel or a related mechanical trade.
- Strong communication and instructional skills with the ability to engage learners of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment in diesel systems.
- Ability to deliver training in various instructional methods (hands-on, classroom, digital).
- Must pass a criminal background check and be capable of performing physical job tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Prior teaching or training experience in technical education.
- Post-secondary education or credentials in diesel or related mechanical fields.

Compensation

$62,734 – $77,476 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
