Join a dedicated team as a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Kitchener-Waterloo, ON area. We are looking for a professional with robust experience in heavy equipment mechanics, electrical systems, and customer service. If you are skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and have a knack for enhancing customer satisfaction through efficient service, this role is for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality field service work with an emphasis on enhancing operating efficiencies and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proactively contact customers to accurately identify machine faults before field visits.
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including the use of computer diagnostic tools to interpret fault codes.
• Maintain effective communication with vendors to facilitate accurate diagnostics.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Submit accurate and timely service reports.
• Manage and maintain assigned service vehicle and tools, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
• Handle all service inquiries and dispatch assignments in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in heavy equipment repair, mechanics, or electrical work. 421A & 310T licenses are considered an asset.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and direct experience with JCB equipment or similar heavy machinery is beneficial.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, computer tools, torches, welding equipment, and air tools.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously on the road.
• Clean driving record.
• Completion of required training initiatives.
• Adherence to all safety policies, and the ability to identify hazardous conditions and unsafe work practices.
• This position requires regular travel.
