Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues across farm equipment, heavy equipment, semis, trailers, and specialty vehicles
- Perform diesel engine diagnostics, cooling system repairs, electrical troubleshooting, wiring repairs, and hydraulic system repairs
- Repair and maintain tractors, skid steers, loaders, excavators, implements, jetter trucks, boom trucks, semis, and trailers
- Troubleshoot PTO, pump, hydraulic, and drivability issues to identify root causes and complete reliable repairs
- Handle inspections, preventative maintenance, services, and repairs as needed to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
- Serve as a go-to mechanic for complex repair issues and work independently with limited oversight
- Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and equipment concerns clearly with management and the shop team
- Maintain accurate service records and help keep the shop, tools, and equipment organized
Requirements
- Required:

- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical repair experience in diesel, heavy equipment, fleet, agricultural, municipal, or related environments
- Strong diagnostic ability across diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience repairing mixed equipment such as trucks, trailers, tractors, loaders, skid steers, excavators, or similar machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and complete repairs with limited oversight
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service procedures
- Ability to document repairs, communicate clearly, and prioritize work in a busy shop environment
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Preferred:

- 5+ years of experience as a diesel, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, fleet, or municipal mechanic
- Experience working on John Deere equipment, Peterbilt trucks, International trucks, or similar mixed fleets
- Advanced hydraulic, electrical, PTO, pump, and engine diagnostic experience
- Prior experience as a lead, senior, or go-to mechanic for complex repair issues

- $35.00 – $50.00/hour starting pay based on previous experience, certifications, and training
