Job Description

A leading industry company is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join and lead their team in the Auburn, NY area. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can take ownership of fleet maintenance, provide high-level diagnostics, and ensure both diesel trucks and a small fleet of heavy equipment are operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy trucks, diesel engines, and/or heavy equipment.
• Mechanics with strong capabilities in diesel engines, diagnostics, electrical, and hydraulic systems will be required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with diagnostic software (CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, JPRO, Tech Tool, etc.).
• A positive work attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as a team are required.
• Previous leadership experience is an asset.
• Personal set of tools.
• Must have valid driver’s license. Those with a CDL will be given preference.

Compensation:

• $42.00 - $52.00/hour to start, dependent on experience.

Shifts:

• Day Shifts, 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday .
• OT available and offered.
• Must be willing to accommodate additional hours and occasional weekends based on operational needed.
