Job Description

A well-established company in Okotoks, Alberta is looking for an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent shop position working on a mixed fleet of heavy trucks and equipment, including excavators, screeners, trailers, and crushing equipment.

The Lead Mechanic will take ownership of shop-based maintenance and repairs, coordinating daily with a mobile field technician and assisting with apprentices when required. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys a steady, well-rounded workload in a clean, well-equipped shop environment.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of recent experience as a Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong background in diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, hydraulics, and electrical repairs.
• Journeyman or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have own basic tools (specialty tools provided).
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Compensation:

• $43.00 - $51.00 per hour (10 hours OT weekly in shift schedule)

• Day Shift; Monday - Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM
• Additional OT optional

This is a FT permanent role. The correct candidate must be able to manage fleet maintenance and coordinate with Mobile Technician.
