Job Description

A reputable and well-established employer is urgently seeking two Lead Hands in Calgary, AB. You must have your ON-ROAD RED SEAL CERTIFICATION, be a strong leader, and be computer-savvy and proficient in general heavy duty truck repairs. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on repairs and diagnostics, managing parts flow with internal teams, reporting to management, managing technicians, handling paperwork, and more.

The ideal candidate has great communication skills paired with experience conducting all levels of repairs on Heavy Trucks.  For both dealing with the customers and with the technicians on the shop floor. Previous leadership experience is desired, not required.

Attitude and communication skills are everything. 

Responsibilities:

• Supporting management team to oversee technicians to ensure safe and efficient work practices are followed.
• Willing and able to perform general Heavy-duty Truck & Equipment repairs/maintenance is required as well as, mentoring newer Mechanics. 
• Computer diagnostics.
• Maintain open communication between various levels of management.
• Quality Control and ensuring repairs are done effectively.
• Exercise safety in all capacities. 

Compensation:

• $44.00/hour to $48.00/hour Base Salary to Start, based on previous experience/certifications/training

Shift Schedule:

• Afternoon Shift, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday. 
• Will be expected to take some after hours calls and coordinate repairs after hours
