Job Description

A well-established company in Newark, NJ, are looking for a Lead Shop Mechanic who is capable of looking after their fleet of heavy equipment and trucks. You would be tasked with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing small and large engine Equipment as well as other vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all repairs and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure optimal performance of equipment and minimize downtime
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time
• Order, receive, organize, and account for spare parts and tools in the inventory – keep inventory clean and organized

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of experience wrenching on heavy diesel
• Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Abilities
  Self-starter, detail-oriented and capable of working independently
• Clean and valid Drivers License

• $28.00 - $35.00/hour to start, based on previous experience/certification/training
• OT after 40 hours
