Job Description

A well-established and reputable employer is urgently hiring a Lead Truck Technician Must be a Licensed Red Seal Heavy Truck Technician to join their growing team in Headingley, MB. The Lead technician will play a crucial role in managing the shop workflow, leading up to 4 other technicians, as well as conducting inspections, services, and repairs on a variety of Heavy-Duty Trucks.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of suspension, brake, and air systems. Lead a team of mechanics on the shop floor. Delegate work orders, prioritize and ensure correct and timely repairs. Diagnose, troubleshoot and make repairs, complete documents related to the service reports and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean, safe work area. 

Requirements:

• Red Seal Technician License is required 
• Experience working on Commercial Trucks and trailers
• Experience with Commercial Vehicle Inspections
• Self-motivated and able to work independently 
• Must take pride in your work 
• Able to demonstrate you are organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamic 
• Be a team player and great communicator
• Must possess own set of tools
• Reefer Experience would be an asset but not required

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Friday schedule

• 8:00 AM - 5:00PM (Monday - Friday)

Compensation:

• $100,000 - $110,000/yr depending on previous experience/training/certificates
