Job Description

A reputable and well-established employer is looking to add Marine Mechanics to their team near Rockland, ME.

This is a great opportunity for any mechanics who are passionate about working on marine vessels, OR for any mechanics that would like to grow, and develop skills within the marine diesel industry! 

We're searching for Marine Diesel Mechanics with the following experience:

• 3+ years of recent experience repairing diesel engines & transmission systems on marine vessels. 
• Maintaining and repairing inboard/outboard marine engines (Diesel & Gas).
• Repairing marine diesel engines from manufacturers including Yanmar, Cummins, CAT, Westerbeke, Beta, Volvo, and others.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel engines, and determine root causes of faults.
• Identifying worn/faulty components on either commercial or pleasure crafts.
• Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Maintaining and repairing fuel systems.

Compensation:

• Up to $40.00/hour to start, based on previous experience/certifications/training.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, 7:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday – Friday. 
• Half shifts on Saturdays during the spring season.
• OT available, paid after 40 hours.
