A reputable and well-established employer is looking to add Marine Mechanics to their team near Clear Lake Shores, Texas!

This is a great opportunity for any mechanics who are passionate about working on marine vessels, OR for any mechanics that would like to grow, and develop skills within the marine diesel industry!

We're searching for Marine Diesel Mechanics with the following experience:

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills related to gas and/or diesel engines. Marine training (especially ABYC) and experience is preferred, but automotive, heavy truck, or industrial mechanical experience will be considered.
• Strong troubleshooting and logical decision-making skills are essential.
• Our work is dockside in the many surrounding marinas, typically on vessels ranging from 35-65 feet with gasoline and diesel genset and propulsion (inboard & sterndrive) systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel engines, and determine root causes of faults.
• Identifying worn/faulty components on either commercial or pleasure crafts.
• The ability to work independently, as part of a team, and within company policies and safety practices will be expected.
• Interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Maintaining and repairing fuel systems.

Compensation:

• Up to $35.00/hour to start, based on previous experience/certifications/training.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday – Friday. 1 hour Lunch 
• OT available on approved jobs. OT not required
paid after 40 hours.
