Job Description

Join an established team as a Ford Diesel Mechanic in Menifee, CA, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of medium and heavy-duty Ford diesel and gas trucks. This role demands a strong adherence to safety guidelines and industry regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a high-performance environment, ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our fleet.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and DOT inspections on various diesel trucks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Run diagnostic tests to interpret results and efficiently resolve mechanical issues.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting guidance and complete repairs as per work orders.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding timelines, additional repair needs, or adjustments to planned work.
  • Coordinate with vendors for parts quotes and procurement, and document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain warranty parts and perform vehicle road tests when required.
  • Conduct safety inspections in compliance with FMCSA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor and train other mechanics in the team, providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Manage and report any vehicle defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
  • Available for service calls, including nights and weekends, to ensure fleet reliability.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-7 years’ experience with Ford trucks and diesel engines, covering light to heavy-duty vehicles, including expertise in drivetrain, suspension, electronics, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment, including experience with power tools and electronic devices.
  • Knowledge of LPG systems, emergency shutdown systems, and associated components is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities are beneficial.
  • Must own a personal set of mechanic tools and be willing to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to handle a flexible schedule, including availability for night and weekend service calls, and willingness to travel to vehicle locations as needed.
  • Strong team player committed to learning and adhering to safety standards.
