Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair diesel trucks, trailers, heavy-duty equipment, and light vehicles in a shop environment
- Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, and routine inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, powertrain, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety, reliability, and performance concerns
- Test completed repairs and accurately document maintenance and service work
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements
- Required:

- Proven hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician
- Strong working knowledge of powertrain systems and general vehicle repair
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
- Ability to read schematics, service information, and technical manuals
- Proficiency with common hand tools and shop equipment
- Must complete a pre-employment background check

- Experience with air brake systems, transmission repair, or general automotive service

- $25.00 – $40.00/hour to start, based on previous experience
