Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment in the field, including excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, transmission, and air brake repairs to restore safe and reliable equipment operation
• Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and operational testing to identify issues and verify repairs
• Use hand tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to isolate faults and complete accurate field repairs
• Travel throughout the service territory from Saginaw to Monroe and west to Jackson to diagnose, maintain, and repair customer equipment on-site
• Operate equipment as needed for testing, verification, and post-repair performance checks
• Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records for field service work completed
• Follow safety procedures and professional service standards while working at customer job sites

Requirements

• Required:

• • Proven experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment in a shop or field service environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability with hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrains, and air brakes
  • Ability to read schematics and complete repairs independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working on construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, or similar heavy machinery
  • Ability to work independently in the field and provide dependable on-site service support
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
