Mobile Diesel Mechanic – Morning Shift (4:30 am start)

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our growing fleet maintenance team covering the Boston, MA area. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys working independently in the field while delivering high-quality service to customers.

As a mobile technician, you will perform on-site maintenance and repairs on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers, ensuring fleets remain safe, compliant, and operational. You will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and managing service documentation using company-provided technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers (brakes, electrical, A/C, engines, aftertreatment systems, liftgates, tires, etc.)
• Conduct preventive maintenance and complete DOT inspections
• Repair or replace truck and trailer components as needed
• Open, update, and close work orders using a company-issued tablet/device
• Source and manage parts inventory from local vendors
• Accurately complete DOT forms and service documentation in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck
• Deliver excellent customer service while working independently in the field

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $33 – $43 per hour (based on experience) - Mechanics can earn $115K + /year including OT

Shifts & Working Conditions

• Shift: Mechanics need to be flexible on day/afternoon shifts - shift schedule determined upon hire 
• Additional shifts/OT may be available (first and second shift options)
• Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Work is performed primarily outdoors at customer locations
• Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity
• Physically demanding role requiring the ability to perform all job duties with or without accommodation
