Automotive and Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
We are actively hiring for an Automotive/Equipment Mechanic in New Cumberland, PA with an established operation. This role involves skilled maintenance and repair of various vehicles and equipment, including automobiles, trucks, and construction equipment. Mechanics with ASE’s and a CDL License are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Repair and overhaul vehicles and equipment, such as automobiles, trucks, tractors, and cement mixers.
- Operate motor vehicles and apply knowledge of systems and components.
- Repair engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and other automotive parts.
- Align wheels and diagnose/repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain service records and ensure vehicles comply with state regulations.
- Supervisors may inspect your work during or after completion.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and minor welding when needed.
- Complete diagnostic work on gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel engines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in automotive technology or 3 years of experience in vehicle/equipment repair (gasoline, diesel, or alternative fuels).
- Valid Class B CDL; must pass Class A CDL road test within probationary period (or have a learner’s permit).
- Must obtain N or X endorsement for tank vehicles within the probationary period.
- CDL must not have restrictions on manual transmissions, air brakes, or truck/semi-trailer combinations.
- Valid DOT Physical Card required.
- Must have or obtain Class 4 or Class 7 PA inspection license within 90 days of starting.

Compensation
- $27.16 per hour based on experience and qualifications, with regular wage increases.
