Generator Field Service Technician

Duties & Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair generators, engines, and related equipment at customer sites.
- Perform annual preventive maintenance, Megger testing, and load bank testing as required.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using effective troubleshooting procedures.
- Prioritize field service work, communicate with customers, and relay customer feedback to internal teams.
- Maintain an organized service vehicle, workspace, and tools while delivering professional customer service.
- Follow company and applicable safety standards during all maintenance, testing, and repair activities.
Requirements
- Required:

- Valid 310T licence; candidates with a 310S licence and 8–10 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- Hands-on experience servicing industrial engines, generators, and electrical equipment, including annual preventive maintenance.
- Understanding of CSA C282-15 generator maintenance guidelines.
- EGSA certification or actively working toward certification.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence, clean driving record, and willingness to provide an annual driver’s abstract.
- Strong English communication, customer service, time management, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and stand or drive for extended periods of up to eight hours.
- Preferred:

- Electrical, diesel, or OBT1 licence.
- French communication skills.

$28.00 – $40.00/hr. based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.
