Job Description

Join a growing team as an Experienced Crawler Crane Assembly and Disassembly Technician based in Pittsfield, ME, with opportunities to travel across the eastern U.S. If you have 5+ years of heavy construction experience, strong mechanical skills, and a desire to grow toward an A/D Director Certification, we encourage you to apply!

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Travel to job sites to assist with the safe assembly and disassembly of crawler cranes, working under the guidance of the A/D Director.
  • Gain hands-on experience in crane assembly/disassembly with a clear pathway to obtaining A/D Director Certification.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on cranes and crane components to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Safely transport tools and equipment to work locations using a company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly and annual inspections on assembled cranes to meet safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly, disassembly, repairs, and inspections.
  • Operate from a New England-based location during downtime or when travel schedules permit.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the heavy construction industry.
  • Crane Signal Person Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Crane operator certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NCCCO, NCCER) preferred.
  • Basic rigging skills with a willingness to learn advanced techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of crane mechanics.
  • Must own basic mechanic tools.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively and stay away from home for extended periods (several days to weeks).
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. and performing demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and effective communication skills.

  • Day Shift, 6:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday to Friday

Compensation

  • $26.00 to $31.00 an hour starting pay based on experience.
  • Full benefits available after 60 days (Health, Vision, Dental, etc).
