Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a 696-bus fleet, including engine and transmission rebuilds.
- Diagnose and repair diesel power systems, electrical components, and braking systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain detailed service records and follow safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Required:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. and 18 months of Diesel Technology training.
- Two (2) years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience within the last five (5) years.
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and no airbrake restrictions.
- Ability to pass a qualifying written and hands-on mechanical test.
- Preferred:
- Transit agency or trucking fleet experience.
- Three (3) years of journey-level mechanical work in transit, bus, coach, or medium-duty truck maintenance within the last five (5) years (in lieu of formal training).

Shifts
- Most new mechanics will begin doing PM work via 2nd or 3rd shift: 10:30pm to 6:30am
- 4×10 shift scheduled is also available for certain shifts/locations.

Compensation
- $43.83/hour (Union, Non-Exempt, Full-Time) with a $7,500 hiring bonus.
