Join a highly skilled team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Prudhoe Bay, AK, supporting remote North Slope operations. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy and light equipment, including hydraulic and lattice boom cranes, bulldozers, front-end loaders, motor graders, water/vac trucks, and more.
• Perform component replacements, system diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance.
• Conduct safety and productivity inspections on equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as needed, including light/medium-duty vehicles.
• Adhere to safety standards, environmental policies, and operational protocols.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience or 2+ years with a related associate degree or certification.
• Valid driver’s license with insurability.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work on uneven/slippery surfaces and in extreme cold temperatures.
• Climb ladders, scaffolds, and equipment; wear fall protection as required.
• Ability to obtain North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification (provided if needed).

Preferred:

• • Experience working with remote North Slope operations.
  • Knowledge of diesel theory, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Expertise in heavy equipment diagnostics and repairs.

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions.
