Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, emissions systems, aftertreatment components, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair Freightliner trucks and Detroit DD15 engines with minimal supervision.
• Complete major engine repairs independently and resolve difficult or recurring technical issues in the shop.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, detailed inspections, and safety checks to keep equipment operating reliably.
• Mentor, train, and support junior and mid-level technicians on diagnostics, repairs, and shop best practices.
• Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and status updates clearly with customers.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow shop safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Minimum 15+ years of hands-on diesel engine repair experience; verification required.
  • Extensive experience with Freightliner trucks.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Detroit DD15 engines.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing Detroit emissions and aftertreatment systems.
  • Advanced engine, electrical, and emissions system troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working on heavy-duty diesel engines, including Cummins, CAT, and Detroit Diesel platforms.
  • Ability to perform high-level diagnostic and repair work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to assist, guide, and support less-experienced technicians in the shop.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and mentoring.
  • Must own basic hand tools; specialty tools are provided.
  • Ability to commute to Ravenna, OH 44266.
