Job Description
A reputable transportation provider operating across multiple U.S. regions is hiring a Regional Maintenance Manager in Memphis, TN, to lead multi-site fleet operations. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with DOT, state, and company policies.
- Mentor and support Maintenance Supervisors and Lead Technicians to meet performance and safety goals.
- Manage fleet assets, prioritize repairs, and maximize uptime across all sites.
- Implement maintenance quality initiatives and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure safety, environmental, and policy compliance.
- Set team and facility performance goals; execute corrective action plans as needed.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and developing shop-level talent; represent the company at career events.
- Ensure all locations are equipped with appropriate tooling, parts, and training support.
- Collaborate with operations and corporate to align maintenance strategy with business goals.
- Maintain positive employee relations and drive a safety-first workplace culture.
- Contribute to special projects and other assigned initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 5+ years of management experience in multi-site fleet or maintenance operations.
- Hands-on experience with diesel, heavy/medium-duty, or bus mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and fleet safety regulations.
- Skilled in diagnostics, computerized maintenance systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team development, performance management, and budgeting.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Willing and able to travel regularly (up to 50%).
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fleet Management, Business, or related field.
- ASE Master Technician certification (Automotive or Truck).
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement processes.
- Familiarity with ERP/EAM platforms (e.g., Oracle).
- Prior experience in unionized environments.

Compensation
- $120,000 – $135,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).
