An environmental services operation in Roseville, CA, is hiring a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Technician to keep heavy-duty trucks and equipment running safely and reliably. Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, production equipment, and medium/heavy-duty trucks across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform minor and major repairs, component replacements, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and services, identifying wear items and addressing issues before failure.
- Run diagnostic tests, interpret results, and collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and complete repairs efficiently.
- Document repairs, inspections, and parts usage accurately using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Maintain service vehicles, tools, and shop areas in a clean, organized, and ready-to-work condition.
- Support parts and supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs.
- Follow all safety procedures and work practices to meet operational, DOT, and OSHA requirements.
Requirements

Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience repairing heavy equipment and/or fleet trucks.
- Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills across diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brakes.
- Welding experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and apply technical manuals and service documentation.
- Professional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset.

Preferred:
- ASE Diesel certification.
- Experience working on mixed OEM equipment and trucks (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Volvo, Vermeer, Bobcat, and similar).

Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Overtime may be available based on operational needs.

Compensation

$26.50 – $35.00/hr starting pay based on experience and qualifications.

$200 quarterly tool allowance.
