Job Description
An industry-leading heavy equipment outfit with multiple locations throughout the United States is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for their growing operation near Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Leads recruitment, staffing, and the professional growth of the sales team, ensuring alignment with both the Branch Manager and corporate recruiting standards
- Develops individualized growth plans for sales staff, addressing training needs for product knowledge and sales skills, with certification milestones in place for both new hires and existing employees
- Implements a standardized sales process to drive financial, market, and customer success, ensuring adherence across the entire sales team
- Conducts monthly one-on-one reviews with sales staff to monitor progress on key responsibilities, including call planning, follow-ups, and certification progress
- Works closely with Parts, Service, and Dispatch Managers, as well as the Corporate Used Equipment Manager, to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction
- Holds regular branch sales meetings to discuss market conditions, competitor activity, and internal programs, while sharing best practices and providing necessary product and process training
Qualifications:
- At least 4 or more recent years of sales management experience in heavy-duty equipment and/or related industries
- Proven ability to mentor and coach sales professionals on various selling techniques and sales processes
- Serves as an internal resource for sales staff in areas such as:
- Financing options, including installment contracts, leases, and other relevant programs
- Company-wide marketing initiatives and external promotions
- Proficiency in key software applications like CRM systems and market analysis tools
- Skilled in using general office software, including Microsoft Office and Excel, for daily tasks and data management
- Strong capability in analyzing and interpreting internal reports to support strategic decision-making
- Post-secondary education is preferred but not a strict requirement
Compensation:
- Up to $130,000.00/year to start, dependent on experience/training/certifications

Shift:
- Day Shift, 7:00 AM Start Time, Monday - Friday
