Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems on heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety compliance checks to ensure reliable field operations.
• Travel to and handle equipment breakdowns at active job sites throughout the Salt Lake City and Heber City areas, performing mobile repairs as needed.
• Maintain detailed service, inspection, and repair documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors and equipment operators to prioritize maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Assist with parts ordering, inventory management, and maintaining clean, organized shop and service vehicles.

Requirements

• Required:

• • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience servicing construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and haul trucks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or within a team environment.

  • CDL or willingness to obtain one.
