
Diesel Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and nightly vehicle inspections.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and other vehicle components.
- Conduct repairs in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use diagnostic equipment and personal tools to troubleshoot and repair commercial vehicles.
- Maintain accurate repair logs and report safety issues or potential breakdowns.
Qualifications:

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in preventative maintenance on commercial trucks or heavy vehicles.
- Must provide own tools for vehicle maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license (minimum Class C).
- Pre-employment criminal background check and participation in random drug testing.

Preferred:
- Valid Class A or B CDL – allows operation and test-driving of heavy vehicles post-repair.
- Experience performing complex diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.

Shifts
- Evening shift – 3:00 p.m. start time until completion
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Must be available to work every other Saturday morning starting at 9:00 A.M.
Compensation
- $25.00 – $30.00/hour, based on experience and certifications.
- Weekly pay with overtime available after 40 hours.
