
Mobile Diesel Mechanic

An established transport company in Savannah, GA, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic for its Bus Division. Ideal candidates have strong diagnostic and repair skills for buses or heavy-duty vehicles. Apply today to work independently with a company-provided service truck!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites and perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on buses and related systems.
- Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension, exhaust, body systems, and limited engine/drive-train components.
- Follow manufacturer diagnostic repair plans and service procedures.
- Document service plans and completed repairs accurately.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Efficiently operate diagnostic software and navigate computer systems.
Requirements:

Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in automotive, school bus, trucking, or heavy equipment repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Skilled in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle systems.

- Formal diesel or heavy-duty vehicle training.
- ASE Certifications.
- CDL license.

Shifts
- Monday – Friday, Day Shift
- Overtime Available
- Technician will work with customers to coordinate on-site repairs.
Compensation
- $28 – $50/hr (based on experience, certifications, and skill level).
