Job Description
An industry-leading Heavy Duty Repair outfit is seeking an experienced Service Manager in Detroit, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Creates annual Service Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
- Executes Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
- Maintain relationships with established customer base and work towards building new relationships.
- Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.
- Ensures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
- Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.
Qualifications:
- 3+ recent years of management experience in heavy duty diesel repair environment.
- Previous hands-on experience conducting repairs and diagnostics on Diesel vehicles.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required.
- Strong verbal & documentation skills as you will be working with customers and techs on a daily basis.
Compensation:
- $90,000.00 - $110,000.00/year to start, dependent on experience

Shift:
- Day Shift, 6:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
- Must be willing to work additional hours as needed.
