Job Description

We are actively searching for a motivated and results-driven Service Manager to join and lead a well-established and reputable team near Santa Maria, CA.  This role requires a strong leader who can manage daily operations, develop high-performing teams and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Level Heavy or Agricultural Equipment Technician and managerial or leadership experience 
  • Heavy Equipment or Diesel Truck Dealership industry experience with a deep understanding of dealership operations, industry best practices
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and measure strategies and goals and possess strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operational reports
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills to serve as an Head of Service Department and be an internal resource for Shop and Field Technicians as well as the Service Administrators 
  • Analyze department performance, and KPIs, address recovery and efficiency rates, errors, implement corrective actions
  • Lead cross-department collaboration to develop and execute aftermarket strategic plans 
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent. Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews. Provide resources and coaching to improve performance and productivity.
  • Approve vendor invoices, process payments
  • Promote and enforce safety standards, enhance customer satisfaction.


Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary over $100,000/year 
  • Uncapped Annual Performance Bonuses of up to 23 percent

Shift Schedule:

  • Day Shift, Monday - Friday
  • Flexibility required to support operations as needed

Heavy Equipment or Heavy Diesel Dealership experience is absolutely required and Automotive dealership experience is not considered relative to this role.  

A valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening are required.
