Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance, preventative care, and general repairs on diesel trucks and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic software.
• Conduct detailed inspections, replace defective components, and ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
• Document work using Shop Management Systems and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Interact with customers and drivers to assess reported issues and communicate repair status.
• Mentor junior technicians and support ongoing training requirements including OEM diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, and company regulations.
• Assist with service island and facility maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

• Required:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with diesel or medium-duty truck repair and diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in routine maintenance, brake systems, tires, AC systems, and electrical repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and electronic systems.
  • Must have own basic tools.
  • Ability to pass drug test, DOT physical, background check, and road test.

• Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel technology.
  • CDL Class A license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 5+ years of diesel maintenance experience is a plus.
