Job Description

A long-standing manufacturer with a private fleet is hiring a Diesel Fleet Technician in Shippenville, PA to maintain and repair Class 8 tractors and mixed fleet equipment. Ideal candidates have diesel diagnostics experience and a PA inspection license. Apply now to join a stable operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 8 semi-trucks, box trailers, pickup trucks, and passenger vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, and related mechanical systems.
• Service and diagnose air brake, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Complete PA State and/or Federal safety inspections and emissions testing as required.
• Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused shop environment.
• Perform indoor and outdoor repairs as needed in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Required:

  • Valid PA State and/or Federal Vehicle Inspection License.
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining Class 8 tractors and mixed heavy- and light-duty fleets.
  • Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in shop and outdoor environments.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with fleet maintenance record systems.
  • Additional certifications related to diesel engines or heavy-duty equipment.
