Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and lift gates on light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance including fluid checks, filter changes, and routine inspections.
• Troubleshoot issues related to brakes, suspension, fuel systems, and steering.
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks for structural repairs and modifications.
• Conduct quality control inspections and document repairs and service history.
• Collaborate with shop staff and follow safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

• Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel repair or similar fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics, welding, and fabrication techniques.
  • Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.
  • Familiarity with diesel engine systems, standard shop practices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
  • Ability to work onsite; remote work is not available.

• Preferred:

  • Completion of a certified mechanical or diesel tech training program.
