We are seeking a Diesel Shop Mechanic in Spartanburg, SC, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors. Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and troubleshoot heavy equipment and machinery using diagnostic tools.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment components using hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, including lubrication, part replacements, and system calibrations.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for repairs and modifications.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and metalwork to repair or modify components.
• Maintain detailed service records and schedule routine maintenance.
• Direct or assist other workers in assembling, disassembling, or cleaning equipment.

Requirements

• 1+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

• Outdoor field conditions with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Requires lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
• Must be capable of pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods while handling heavy equipment.
