Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach diesel technology courses focused on agricultural, construction, and heavy truck systems.
- Prepare and deliver course content, labs, and syllabi in a clear and organized format.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-equipped lab environment for student instruction.
- Guide students in developing hands-on skills with tools, diagnostics, hydraulics, and system repairs.
- Track and evaluate student progress; provide timely feedback and maintain academic records.
- Hold regular office hours and participate in department meetings and institutional initiatives.
- Support program accreditation through curriculum development and outcome assessments.
Requirements

Required:
- A minimum of 1 year (2,000 hours) of diesel repair or equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and remain on feet for extended periods during instruction.

Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in diesel technology, Journeyman status, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with machine hydraulic systems.
- Prior teaching or training experience in a classroom or shop environment.

Shifts

Full-time, 9-month academic-year position beginning January 12, 2026.
- Schedule varies by academic term and may include daytime, evening, or weekend classes.
- On-campus position; remote work is not available.
Compensation

$48,176 – $75,025, based on education level and prior experience.
- No degree, some college, certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s: $48,176 – $71,273
- Master’s degree: $50,709 – $75,025
