Job Description

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join an established team in Stoneham, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to support a truck fleet while honing your skills in through extensive training and career growth opportunities! 

Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair duties.
• Conduct standard component inspections, diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, and replace defective components.
• Use diagnostic tools and systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed electronic documentation and utilize the Shop Management System.
• Interact with customers and drivers to understand vehicle concerns.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines, including DOT and MOT standards.
• Perform facility maintenance and other operational support duties as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of combined classroom training and work experience preferred working on Medium/Heavy trucks
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, Vocational or Technical Certification is a plus.
• Must own basic tools.
• Experience with automotive gas or diesel engine repair, including routine preventive maintenance, oil changes, brake, and tire work, required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
